Handsome and versatile. |
We have enjoyed our new Crosley music center. It fits in well with the dark wood of our Victorian home. It also allows us to play all our CD's, tapes and lp's -
nothing is left out, including the radio. This item is well made and performs well.
I had excellent customer care from Crosley when I had a question about the needle/ stylus. |

Great, beautiful unit, lacks some simple functions...... |
First I have to say it is nice to have one unit that plays radio, LPs, CDs, and Audio Cassettes...
It looks & feels great, but there are some simply fuctions not included.
As in the Audio Cassette player, only Ejects, you push in to play and eject to stop......
No, Fast forward
No, Rewind
This really boggled me. We brought home a book on tape from the Library for the kids to listen to and I had to bring my the tape out to my car (thankfully my car has a cassette player) and rewind it to the beginning!
The sound is okay, it doesn't get real loud and when it is turned up all the way it doesn't sound its best.
Overall, I adore this little unit. We also have Crosley ST75 Bardstown Entertainment Center Stand - Paprika. It stores/hides a bunch of CDs, and LPs making the space nice and neat! |

Sounds So Sweet |
I recently purchased some vinyl records and this record player to see what I was supposedly missing out on. I have to say, the moment I threw an LP on this player, I was struck by the vast difference in the sound quality between this record player and my MP3 player. The analog sound of a vinyl LP communicates... "something" that is simply lost in the digitization process of the cd and mp3 formats. There is something more organic about the sound. The voices are more human. The brass rattles your skin. The plinking piano notes ring your eardrums. It makes digital formats seem sterile.
Playing some Devendra Banhart albums, I realized I could hear his fingers land on the side of his acoustic guitar. It was barely perceptible, something almost felt more than heard, but it made the sound much more real for me. Horns and electric guitar sounded especially nice to me on this player.
The player itself is gorgeous, arrived in perfect condition, and was simple to open and operate. The volume level was fine for me. It was not too low at all. I don't listen to music loud enough to pierce my eardrums. It was perfectly audible even in the next room.
I highly recommend this product and the vinyl record format. It's not hype. You can hear a difference. |

Product came in a one shape and on time. Works great and very easy to use. One problem with the needle. But I called them and she talked me through it. Great machine of you have a lot of old 33 records. |
